Right outside my home in Florida is a prime fishing spot. Lots of boats nose in and try their luck with lines and hooks. The fellow was taking a different approach and was using a net to snare the prey. I have tried this in Africa in Lake Victoria and it is a lot more difficult than it looks. Of course this fellow did not have to cope with lucking crocodiles which I had to as I stood in the shallows and tried netting Tilapia…

Now here is a happy sight..(at least for me) me surrounded by a bevy of beauties all about to cook a meal…one obviously has been yanked from the shower for the picture, but is carrying it off with style. The aperitifs are lined up and the really, really good news?…is that three of these women are Italian. Do you know what it means to have three Italian women in the kitchen cooking……it means happy, happy times for those being served the food!!!!

From now until the end of the year there is a very good chance that you will be seeing lots of pictures of food laden tables….it is difficult to maintain an exercise program and your weight under any sort of control when you are presented with home cooked food in this kind of abundance. It was a smallish family affair this year…but note the iced tea. We do support our home industry.

The Cooper family tree arrives. Just take a look at the base of the tree.
We are talking major trunks here. This tree is going to suck up water like crazy…and getting it into the stand is not going to be an easy task…this is not a lightweight tree.

It is never too cold, too hot or too difficult for a golfer to golf! What it might require from time to time is unerring accuracy as you approach the green!! Here I am about to hit my third shot into a par 4 but the green is totally surrounded by snow. If I don’t hit the green the ball will disappear and bury itself in the snow and there is no local rule about lifting a white ball out of a snow pack so I will have to play it where it lays…
PS I didn’t make the green, the damned ball hit the green but rolled back into the snow,(which was crusted with ice and then rolled back onto the fairway.) I took a six on the hole by making a long put…nice day to be out though…

My how the world has changed! As someone who has spent his life travelling the globe I am comfortable in a wide range of cultures. But it has always required travel beyond the borders of the USA to experience a wide range of different languages and lifestyles. Not so anymore …the vast array of communication tools at our finger tips now allow us access to virtually any destination. Including an Arab News Network from the comfort of my study….who would have guessed…
